Peter Green, born 3 May 1974, is a former Australian rules footballer remembered for one of the sport's quieter distinctions: a single senior game for the Carlton Football Club.
Recruited from the Barellan club in country New South Wales, he was drafted by Carlton and made his one AFL appearance in Round 10 of the 1994 season against Footscray at Princes Park, wearing guernsey number 37 as a mid-sized defender. He later played in South Australia with Central Districts. One for the Aussie sports fans searching a very different Peter Green.
Decades on, Green returned home to coach his childhood club — Barellan, the “Two Blues,” in the Farrer League. He stepped down after a winless season, citing family commitments, including supporting his daughter Sophia's football with the Murray Bushrangers, but has stayed in the game through junior and girls' youth development.
