Dorian Tyrell, played by Peter Greene, is the mobster villain of The Mask (1994). Scheming to seize control of Edge City's underworld, he steals the magical mask and becomes a monstrous, green-faced version of himself before facing Jim Carrey's Stanley Ipkiss.

In The Mask, Peter Greene plays Dorian Tyrell — a ruthless mobster tired of taking orders from crime boss Niko, plotting to take over Edge City himself.

When Dorian gets hold of the magical mask, his transformation is darker than the hero's: not the goofy cartoon of Jim Carrey's Stanley Ipkiss, but a bulkier, red-eyed, deep-voiced monster — a genuinely menacing turn that anchored the film's finale.

It's also a role many stars nearly played: Jack Nicholson, Willem Dafoe, Dennis Hopper, Robert De Niro, Rupert Everett and Joe Pesci were all reportedly considered before Greene was cast.
